Roulettespel

There are many traditional European roulette bets that are placed in certain sectors of the roulette wheel, along with the numerous outside and inside bets. These bets are often called “Call Bets”, however, if you want to be more precise, you might call them “Announced Bets”.

There is a legal distinction made between calls and announced bets.

A call betting is a wager that can be called by any player, even if he/she does not place any money at the roulette table to pay the bet’s costs.

These bets are illegal in many jurisdictions around the world, including the United Kingdom. An announced bet, on the other hand, can be called by any player and its cost is immediately paid by the player before the outcome is known.

Each combination of numbers has its name and covers a particular section of the Roulette wheel. You can place bets on one combination or multiples of that amount. These combinations are determined by the order in which numbers are placed next to one another on the wheel. There are many combinations of numbers to be noted.

Neighbors of zero (or “Les voisins du zero”)

Grand Voisins du Zero is the correct name for this bet. It includes 17 numbers between 22 and 25, on the single-zero wheel. The two are also included. The following number series are available: 0, 2, 19, 22, 25, 3, 4, 26, 29, 32, 35.

You can place the following bets using 9 chips: 2 chips to be a split wager at the intersection of the 0, 2, and 3; 5 chips to be a split stake between 4 and 7; 12 and 15, 18 or 21, 19 and 22, 32, 35; 2 chips to be a corner bet on 25-26, 28 and 29.

Troisièmes de la roue (or “Le Tiers du Cylindre”)

This is a name for a bet that features 12 numbers on the opposite side to the single-zero wheel 33 to 27, and the addition of two. The following number series are available: 27, 13, 36. 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 9, 5, 24, 16, 33. This bet is much more popular than “Neighbors Of Zero” at UK casinos.

Six chips can be used to make six split bets. These split bets are: one split between 5-8; one split between 10-11; one split between 13-16; and 1 split each between 23-24; and 1 split each between 27-30; and 1 split each between 33 and 36.

“Les orphelins” (or Orphans)

This bet includes numbers that do not belong to the “thirds” or the “neighbors at zero”. We have 8 numbers in this instance, which are divided into two sections: the first (17.34.6) and the second (1.20.14.31.9).

Five chips are typically placed in the following manner: 1 chip for a straight-up wager on 1, 1 chip for a split of 6-9, 1 chip for a split of 14-17, 1 chip to split between 14-17, 1 chip to split between 17-17, 1 chip to split between 17-20, 1 chip at a split among 17-20, 1 chip at a splitting between 21 and 24, 1 chip at a splitting between 31 and 34.

Zero game (or “Jeu zero”, “Zero Spiel”)

This bet is very popular in Germany and other European casinos. It uses the numbers closest to 0. The “zero game” features all numbers, but they are placed differently in the larger series (“neighbors to zero”) The following number series are available: 12, 355, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15.

There are four chips that can be placed: one chip to split between 0 & 3, 1 chip to split between 12 & 15, 1 chip for a straight-up wager on 26, 1 chip to split between 32 & 35.

Final digits (or “Les finales”)

These bets are often called “finaal”, or “finale”, and can be pronounced as such: Two types of bets are available to players:

1. Straight (“En plein”). A player can place a bet on numbers that end with the same number. He or she will need four chips for numbers ending in 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 6. For numbers ending with 7, 8 and 9, he/she will need 3 chips. Because only three numbers with 7, 8 or 9 as their final digits exist on the European Roulette wheel, this is why. Let’s clarify.

Four chips are required to place a bet on the digit 4. Each chip must be placed on each number that ends in 4. There are four numbers on the wheel: 4, 24, and 34.

Three chips are required to place a bet on the digit 8. Each chip must be placed on each number ending in 8. We have 8 to 18, 18 and 28 numbers on the wheel.

2. Split (“A cheval”). A player can place a bet on pairs of numbers that end with the same number. The player will need five chips for the pairs 0-1, 2-3, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 5-7, 4-6, 5-8, 7-9, 7-8, 7-9, 4-5, 6-7, and 7-9. The player will need four chips for the pairs 0-3, 1-4 and 3-6, 7-8, 7-8, and 8-9. For the pairs 4-7, 5-6, 5-8 and 6-9, respectively, and for the pairs 4-7 and 5-8, 5-8, 6-9 and 7-10, 8-11, and 9-12, 3 chips. Let us explain.

Three chips are required to place a bet on pair number 5-8. Each chip should be placed on either 5-8, 15-18, or 25-28.

The United States has single-zero “European Rules”.

Single-zero roulette wheels can be found at some casinos in the United States. Players can get 50% back if the ball falls into the 0 pocket while playing on these roulette wheels. This rule applies to even-money wagers only and reduces the house advantage to 2.7%

These casinos include The Tropicana and The Luxor in Las Vegas.

These casinos are located in Atlanta City: Caesar’s and Borgata, Caesar’s. Borgata, Bally’s. Taj, Harrah’s. Sand’s. Trump Marina.

Most single-wheels are found in areas with high concentrations of high-rollers, big-money bettors. The minimum bet is $100.
